With school, study and a social life (not to mention social media) all competing for their precious time, there can be a drop in activity when kids hit their teens. We want to help young people develop a life-long love of exercise. From bespoke classes to access to our welcoming gyms, we've made sure there are lots of ways for teens to get involved and stay active.
If your teen would like to hit the gym but doesn’t know where to start, this is for them. The Gym Start Up programme provides a simple introduction to gym equipment to make sure they feel confident and stay safe. Once they’ve completed this induction, kids from 10+ are free to use the gym during supervised sessions or when accompanied by a grown up. And once they hit 15, they can use the gym freely with no supervision.

What better way to have some quality family fun time than with an upbeat workout class? From cycling to circuits, BATTLEBOX to Rebels BLAZE, there’s a host of ways to stay active and stay connected.
And for those aged 14+ they can join in a number of other group classes, including Zumba®, BODYPUMP™ and yoga.
Available for kids aged 8+, Rebels BLAZE classes feature short bursts of activity to get the heart pumping, combining mixed martial arts with cardio and strength training in each 35 minute session. Our specially-selected playlists will give you plenty of motivation too, meaning it's the perfect way to enjoy a dynamic family workout.
At David Lloyd Bad Homburg, we offer a family-friendly version of our adults’ outdoor circuit training class. Suitable for children aged 8-13, Rebels Battlebox is a great way to get your cardio fix and boost your mood with a flood of endorphins.
For tennis-loving teens, there are weekly lessons available at David Lloyd Bad Homburg with highly qualified coaches. These are available for a small additional cost. We also offer social club sessions, cardio tennis and a variety of competitions to keep teens involved.
At David Lloyd Bad Homburg, children aged 10+ can always use the pool by themselves during family swim times (upon completion of a Shark Test). And as soon as they hit 16, they can use the pool independently during adult swim time, not to mention make use of the sauna, steam room and poolside spas.
